Homestay - Gino and Sue Spadfo

Gino and Sue Spadfora along with their two children, Daniella 2 and Skyler 11, moved from Toronto to Cape Breton, and suddenly found themselves living the lifestyle of a homestay family. Having purchased a retired bed and breakfast establishment, they had excess space and in a short time they had three International students, Rami, Khalid, and Amien, living with them.
Rami Alsaiari is one of eight children from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and after spending six months in Toronto he decided to head for Cape Breton in November 2010 and enroll in the ICEAP English Language Program based in CBU. He is now in Level 4 and is making steady improvement in his English studies. His eventual goal is to enter CBU University where he wants to pursue a degree in business. He loves the interaction with children in the Spadfora family and plans to stay with them for quite some time. To date Rami is the only member of his family to venture forth as an International Student.
